Frequently Asked Questions

General

Installation time depends on the size and complexity of your system — most residential installations are completed within 1–2 days.

Most residential solar installations fall under permitted development, but there are exceptions (listed buildings, conservation areas) — we’ll confirm during your survey.

We offer a workmanship guarantee on every installation, alongside manufacturer warranties on all equipment — full details are provided with your quote.

Solar Panels

Apart from a south-facing roof, similar yields can be achieved with an east-west installation — panels are fitted on both sides of the roof using inverters that let each side work independently.
Most solar panels are guaranteed for 25 years and can continue performing well beyond that, with only a gradual, minor drop in output over time.
Rainfall keeps most systems sufficiently clean. If your panels are heavily soiled or in a low-rainfall area, an occasional clean can help maintain peak performance.

Battery Storage

In most cases, yes — compatibility depends on your existing inverter, which we’ll check during your free survey.

This depends on your system’s configuration — some setups include backup capability. We’ll confirm what’s possible for your home during your survey.

Heat Pumps

Suitability depends on insulation levels, your existing heating setup and property type — all assessed as part of your free survey.

EV Chargers

In most cases, yes — a dedicated circuit is standard for home EV charger installations, and this is something we’ll confirm and set up as part of your installation.
